Berkeley Heights abounds with community pride and charm. There’s always something going on in town - no matter who you are – adults, families, teens, small children, and our active senior community, too. We hope you take part in our decades-old annual traditions and community celebrations, watch the website for information about events such as the Annual Feast of Mt. Carmel in July, the Summer Street Fair, summer concerts in the park, and the Annual Winter Walk in early December - just to name a few. Other favorite events include our annual PBA Fishing Derby, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, “Police Santa,” Lunar New Year celebration, and a few great charity 5K events.

Recreation

The Berkeley Heights Recreation Department is a highlight of our town for adults and children alike! There’s something for everyone between the fantastic programs, events and summer camps they run.

Recycling

Recycling is provided by Giordano Company who has divided the town into two sections for recycling pick ups that occur on Wednesdays (East Side of town: Snyder/Horseshoe Road inclusive towards Summit) or Thursdays (West side of town: beyond Snyder towards Warren). Berkeley Heights Public Schools (BHPS)

The Berkeley Heights Public School district serves the youth of Berkeley Heights from grades Pre Kindergarten - Grade 8. Students from neighboring Mountainside join Berkeley Heights students in the district’s Governor Livingston High School for grades 9-12. The BHPS District website has everything you need to know about all six district schools.
